Hyman's is a typical southeastern seafood place. It wasn't great, but it didn't make my stomach feel bad either. Just regular 'ol fried seafood. Oh yeah...be warry of a place that has a total of four reviews all made practically within 24 hours of each other. Sounds as though the management just figured out "people" could leave reviews on yellowpages.com. Anyway...I'm review #5 and not nearly as impressed as the first four "reviewers". Sorry. Hymans is a Charleston institution I know...I'm sure the tourists like it alot.

No wonder we heard so many recommendations! This place has the best seafood on the east coast. Very friendly staff and management, fast service. The history of the restaurant itself is interesting too. Convenient to all of downtown Charleston's shopping and tours... highly recommended.

Our first for fried lobster - delicious. The crispy flounder is out of this world. Lot's of atmosphere, lot's to look at, interesting history, great location. The owner has stopped by every visit to check on us. I can't say enough good about Hyman's - must be so great because of their "Motto". Check it out...

Great Place for Seafood. I hear The locals love it too. The food is delicious and has great casual atmosphere. I would recommend Hyman's Seafood to anybody that visits Charleston and make sure you try the Crispy Flounder! Yum Yum
